I enjoy all aspects of photography but my main focus currently is portraiture and night photography. Much of my work includes experimenting with shadow, light, colour and time lapse photography to create more abstract work. Some of the photographers I admire are Gordon Anthony and Laszlo Moholy-Nagy from many years ago. Through portraiture I aim to capture a sense of contemplation and the beauty within each subject using minimum lighting and simple props.Breda studied photography at Hull College School of Art and Design 2004 - 2006. Breda is currently focussing on female portraiture, with a series of 40 portraits of 40 women who will be 40 in 2008 (in the making). Breda is interested in the common experiences of women, the impact of an image culture on women and how women are represented in society, particularly as they grow older as well as the more serious and detrimental aspects of living some women endure. On a lighter note Breda also enjoys experimenting with light, colour and time to create abstract images and still life.
